About Train Tracks Puzzle

Train Tracks Puzzle is a free site for one puzzle only. We built it because Train Tracks deserves a home of its own: a place to play it, print it, solve it and learn it, without hunting across ten sites.

What makes it different

One puzzle, done properly

Everything here is about Train Tracks: the rules, the boards, the tools and the writing. There's no menu of other games to wade through. If you want a Train Tracks puzzle, you're already in the right place.

A fresh puzzle every day, and any time you like

The Daily puzzle is the same for everyone, with a leaderboard of fastest times. Outside the Daily, play unlimited boards at Easy 5×5, Medium 7×7 and Hard 9×9.

Printable sheets that really are solvable

The printable puzzles come in sets of up to 12 with an answer key. Each one can be finished by logic alone, so it has exactly one answer and never needs a lucky guess.

A solver for any Train Tracks puzzle

Stuck on a board from a book, a newspaper or another app? Enter its clues into the free solver and it draws the answer, for grids from 4×4 to 9×9. It's also a Connect Tracks solver.

Learn the method, not just the answer

The guides teach the deductions step by step, from the first moves to the harder boards, with worked examples and references.

The puzzle in one paragraph

Train Tracks is a grid logic puzzle. Two tabs on the edge mark the entrance and the exit, and you connect them with one unbroken track. The numbers beside each row and column say how many squares in it hold track. Some squares start with a piece already placed. The track never crosses itself or branches, and with the clues and a little deduction there is only one way to finish it. New here? Start with the how to play page.
