How to Solve the Daily Train Tracks Puzzle Faster

Updated October 3, 2026 · 4 min read

The Daily is the same board for everyone and it's ranked on time, so the fastest solver wins. Speed here is mostly about thinking in the right order, not moving your finger quicker.

Read before you touch

The clock runs from the moment the board appears, so the temptation is to start placing pieces at once. Resist it. Spend the first twenty seconds on zeros, full lines and the border rule. Players who place first and think later pay for it in lives and corrections.

Cross out in bulk

Mark every certain empty square before you place anything. Each ✕ makes dead ends visible, and on Medium and Hard boards it turns the second half of the puzzle into a series of forced moves.

Solve the whole route, then draw it

The draw tool lays the correct piece on any square that continues the line, so once you know the route you can lay it in a single drag instead of tapping every square. The fastest finishes are solved in the head first and drawn in a few strokes.

Protect your lives

Each wrong placement costs a life, and on Hard you only have three. A lost board means starting over with the clock reset, so a careful run beats a fast one that fails. Don't place a piece you can't justify.

Everyone plays the same board

The Daily has no hints, so every time on the leaderboard was earned the same way. New boards appear at midnight UTC for Easy, Medium and Hard, and you can compare your time with other players on each. Come back tomorrow for a fresh set.
