How the Daily Train Tracks Puzzle and Leaderboard Work

Everyone gets the same board each day. Here's exactly how the Daily, the leaderboard and streaks work.
One board for everyone
Each day there's one Easy, one Medium and one Hard board. They are the same for every player, so your time means something compared with anyone else's.
When it resets
New boards appear at midnight UTC. The countdown on the Daily page shows how long you have left.
Hints and lives
The Daily has no hints. Lives still apply: five on Easy, four on Medium, three on Hard.
The leaderboard
Finish a Daily and your time is ranked against everyone who solved it that day. You don't need an account: your device gets an anonymous ID, and you can add a display name if you want one shown.
Streaks and sharing
Play on consecutive days to build a streak. When you finish, the Share button gives you a spoiler-free result with a link, so a friend can try the same board and beat your time.
